I joined ³Ô¹ÏÍø as unlike most Universities, they offered a January start date in addition to the normal September entry. This was suitable for me joining from a South African school whose academic year ended in December. This partnered with the consistently high ranking for student satisfaction made ³Ô¹ÏÍø a compelling choice and I have not regretted. My time at The University of ³Ô¹ÏÍø has shaped me into the person I am today.

At the university, I studied Computing with Accounting and Finance. The School of Computing is budding with technological enthusiasm which goes even beyond the classroom as they actively encourage innovation and self-challenge through events like regularly held hackathons and The Start-up Weekend, to name but a few personal highlights.

Studying at ³Ô¹ÏÍø allowed me to engage with individuals from all sorts of backgrounds, some with real life work experience and some amateurs like myself (at the time). This diversity of background and thought in a community where you never feel alienated is truly beautiful. For me, this environment was a catalyst for open thought, innovation and a nursery bed for partnership & entrepreneurship.

Having completed my undergraduate degree at The University of ³Ô¹ÏÍø, I pursued a master’s in Finance & Investment from the University of Exeter after which I joined TLG Capital London, an Africa focused private equity firm, where I am an Investment and Operation Analyst designing technological solutions to the firm’s day to day investment challenges. Alongside this, I have co-founded a digital payment platform known as AfroPay which is set to launch in a bid to redefine how monetary transactions are done in Africa.

Studying in ³Ô¹ÏÍø is truly a life changing experience – one that I am so grateful I had.
