Dr Gurcharan Singh is a Reader in Finance and Programme Director for the MSc in Accounting & Finance, the MSc in Finance and Investment and the MSc in Financial Service Management. He joined Թ in January 2011 from the University of Malaya, where he was Senior Lecturer in the Department of Financial Accounting and Audit for five years and in a number of related Industries.
Gurcharan is an active researcher who received a number of research grants in Malaysia. His areas of expertise are in finance (portfolio management, investment, corporate finance) and operational research (non-parametric data, wavelet decomposition). He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Accounting and Finance and was a reviewer for the Asian Journal of Business and Accounting.
Students who wish to undertake a PhD in the area of social, environmental and sustainability accounting and finance are advised to send me their CV and research proposal.
