Dyslexia Hub: Fundraising
Issue
DID YOU KNOW that approximately 10% of the population worldwide have Dyslexia, and about 45% of Dyslexic students are diagnosed at university, often not until their final year?
AND Dyslexic and Neurodiverse students often do not get the recognition and support they need in Higher Education, Further Education and Post-16.
ALSO many believe they are not ‘good’ enough to attend university or Further Education because difficult experiences may have lowered self-belief.
SO their academic journey can be painful BUT raising awarenessand support of learning differences in their educators could transform this.
Project
THROUGH our experience and research we have developed effective study strategies that can successfully support all students, creating an inclusive learning environment.
OUR AIM is to share this knowledge and produce online and in person courses and training to educate the educators in FE/HE and Post-16.
Goals
Successfully support students
Higher education accessible for all
Increased grades & engagement
Neurodiversity & academic success
Enhanced self-esteem & confidence
