Michelle Jenkins (MSc in Health Psychology)
I am is a mature student who studied my Undergraduate degree at the Open University. I came to ³Ô¹ÏÍø for my MSc Health. Would I recommend a MSc in Health Psychology: yes, I would? During my MSc I had a fantastic opportunity to complete a work placement in the Clinical psychology team in a Gender Identity Clinic. This professional placement definitely helped me in being successful with applying for a trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner role. During my MSc in health psychology I have learnt the knowledge and theory about many areas that have been incredibly useful in the PWP training. The MSc in Health Psychology has given a good foundation to build on; such as theory with regard to the COM-B model and models of reflection. I can’t think of a single module which I haven’t used during my trainee PWP role. So much is relevant not just to my current role but also any future roles I will have.
